Dan Reynolds was the founder and Master Emeritus of the Dan of Eden Shamanic Center. Dawn of Eden offers innovative healing and spiritual retreats that explore the deepest roots of traditional Peruvian shamanism, focusing on holistic healing, personal growth, spiritual transformation, and understanding ancient shamanic spiritual truth.
He was often asked what motivated his move to Peru and his decision to become a shaman. His answer was always surprisingly simple: “The call.” He explained this somewhat because many who have come to work with him have reported that they also experienced “The Call” prior to his decision to become involved with sacred medicinal plants.
In the case of Dan Reynolds, for example, he was an ordinary businessman working in his chosen profession as Director of Marketing for the Monroe Institute and Monroe Products.
These sister companies possess an internationally renowned audio guide technology known as Hemi-Sync that can guide listeners into expanded states of consciousness (higher states of consciousness). They offer residential programs and products for home use that incorporate this technology. As Director of Marketing, he was tasked with helping to develop and distribute new Hemi-Sync products.
In addition to working professionally with these audio guide tools, Dan Reynolds meditated daily with various Hemi-Sync products to access higher states of consciousness. For that reason, he was in tune with his inner guidance.
One day, he found a website about Ayahuasca. At this point, he had never heard of Ayahuasca, but amazingly, after briefly seeing this site, he knew it was something he had to do. “The Calling” was pretty deep. Within a week, he booked a flight to Peru to participate in the Ayahuasca ceremonies.
His first ceremony with this master plant occurred in 2002 and it was an eye-opening experience. He felt at home in the spiritual realms that he accessed with Ayahuasca, he received messages from another world, the message was that he was a shaman.
However, these celestial communications persisted, highlighting the fact that his primary purpose in this life was to resurrect his shamanic abilities from past lives. The instructions were clear; he was going to revive his practice of the ancient shamanic arts (an extremely powerful form of shamanism).
Honestly, he had never entertained the idea of becoming a shaman, but his inner guidance confirmed the validity of his ceremonial revelations. Consequently, he began to learn the sacred medicinal plants, Ayahuasca and Huachuma, in a serious way, making two trips a year to Peru.
In 2006, it was time to be “all in,” and so his spirit guidance became more dramatic. His message left no room for doubt. He needed to “make money” from his life in the United States and move to Peru to build the Dawn of Eden shamanic center. This uprooting movement was challenging on many levels, but, in other ways, a dream come true.
His deepest desire was in motion. He wanted to offer transformative medicine work of the highest order to those seeking to enrich their lives by deepening their connection to spirit. Consequently, he turned his attention to mastering the ancient healing arts (old school shamanism). Such mastery was integral to his vision of the Dawn of Eden shamanic center.
In a very real sense, Dawn of Eden’s work is designed for those seeking a more meaningful and rewarding life; a divinely guided life that is in accordance with one’s purpose. The sacred medicinal plants of Peru, Ayahuasca and Huachuma, are the proverbial “fast track” to achieve communion and alignment with the divine. As one deepens their connection to spirit, one deepens their connection to their divine nature, their authentic or “higher self.” This “true self” is the very source of inner guidance and as such can orchestrate a God-guided life.Shaman Dan Reynolds
