San Pedro (Huachuma) Trichocerus Pachanoi is known as the Cactus of the Four Winds. The modern or post-colonial name for this sacred cactus is San Pedro, but the spirit of the master-teacher prefers the ancient name, Huachuma.
Like Ayahuasca, Huachuma is sacred visionary plant teacher widely used by curanderos (healers). However, while the spirit of Ayahuasca is feminine in nature, the Grandfatherly spirit of Huachuma is masculine. And, while Ayahuasca is focused on inner-work, Huachuma evolves one’s potential for a conscious connection to nature and spirit while interfacing with the outer world. Huachuma opens the sixth-sense and awakens the divine within. This results in a sacred, non-ordinary state of consciousness—an extraordinary state of expanded awareness and divine communion.
This is the primary teaching of the grand maestro personified in the spirit of Huachuma. He teaches us what it is like to experience this sanctified state of being. Initiates are given an awe-inspiring demonstration, through direct personal experience, that humans have the potential to live in communion with the divine. Humanity is being afforded the opportunity to evolve into conscious co-creators with the divine. Even so, it is up to each of us, individually, to find our own path.

Additionally, Ayahuasca helps to restore “wholeness” to one’s soul. This enables a better integration of one’s physical and spiritual worlds. The process involved allows participants an opportunity to regain much of their personal power. Accordingly, working first with Ayahuasca is the ideal preparation for those who plan to engage the grand maestro, Huachuma.
Chavín de Huántar
Twice a year, Dawn of Eden hosts a “by invitation” spiritual pilgrimage to the “Holy of Holies” of sacred sites, Chavín de Huántar. Here, in the cradle of Andean civilization, Dan Reynolds facilitates Huachuma ceremonies of the highest order to bring those in attendance into a state of grace and divine communion.
