The Mesas

Ayahuasca MesaA mesa is an ancient technology for accessing spiritual realms through a collection of sacred power objects that are imbued with unseen energetic forces. As such, it is a powerful shaman’s tool for creating a portal to the divine. Through this sanctified spiritual conduit, shamans may summon allies or channel healing and transformational energy for the advancement of human consciousness.

Mesas are used extensively by shamans (Huachumeros) who practice Huachuma curanderismo (healing work) along the Northern coast of Peru and throughout the Andean highlands. Ayahuasqueros normally use a simple altar. Dawn of Eden® integrates the use of a full-on Chavin-inspired mesa in its Ayahuasca ceremonies, along with three complementary mesas, to optimize the healing and transformational work taking place. These mesas are supplemented further by a large Horus Eye positioned on the ceiling of the maloca which serves as yet another portal to the spiritual realms when activated in ceremony.

ChavinDawn of Eden® is the only fully licensed shamanic center in Iquitos that is a member of the Chamber of Commerce. The Dawn of Eden Church® is the only church in Peru dedicated to the transformation of human consciousness utilizing the sacred plants Ayahuasca and Huachuma as a sacrament.
